Indian students are turning to Bangladesh due to better transport facilities, proximity to India, proximity to its culture, limited seats in India and high cost.

“When I moved from Kashmir to Ad-Din Medical College in Dhaka in 2019, there were only two medical colleges in Kashmir. There are no private medical colleges. But there are many medical colleges in Bangladesh,” Kazi said.

He said medical education in Bangladesh can be done in the range of Rs 30 lakh to Rs 35 lakh in Indian currency.
