Congress MP and leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi is on a visit to the US. This is his first visit to the US as the leader of the opposition in India.
Rahul Gandhi recently attended two events in Texas. He was speaking at an event organised by the University of Texas.
On this occasion, Rahul Gandhi took a dig at the BJP and the RSS.
“As soon as the election results were out, the fear of the BJP and Pm Modi disappeared from the minds of the people,” he said.
BJP criticises Rahul Gandhi
“The RSS believes that India is the same ideology. But we believe that it is made up of different ideologies. We believe that just like america, everyone should have the right to dream and everyone should have the right to have opportunities,” Gandhi said.
Bjp MP Giriraj Singh reacted to Rahul Gandhi’s statement.
“This birth is not enough for Rahul to understand the RSS. Traitors cannot understand the RSS. Those who go abroad and criticise the country will not understand the RSS.”
What about unemployment
Rahul spoke to students of the University of Texas on issues and unemployment around the world.
On the back of every item in India today be it the phone, be it the furniture. The label ‘Made in China’ appears to be there, rahul said.
He also spoke to the students about his 4,000-km-long Bharat Jodo Yatra.
“Why have you travelled 4,000 kilometers, what is the need for that?” you asked at first.
“The reason for this is… In India, all broadcasting and propaganda channels have been closed. The words we spoke in Parliament don’t come on TV. We went to the media. But they did not listen to us. We have also approached the judiciary. But nothing happened. All roads were closed. So for a long time, we thought about how to tell people anything,” he said.
“Then the idea that if the systems don’t go to the people, we will go to them instead, came up suddenly. So we decided to go directly to the people.”
“This trip has fundamentally changed my performance. Many people participated in this yatra. The introduction of love into politics has happened very naturally. This is a new trend. Because in most countries, the word love does not appear anywhere in political discourse. Only hate, anger, injustice and corruption will be heard,” he said.
Speaking at another event organised by nris, Rahul said, “You have not come here with anger in your mind. They came with love. You are our ambassadors here. That’s why you have a very important role to play here. India needs America and America needs India. You are the bridge between your old house and your new one.”
