Granules India Ltd.(up 4.94 per cent), Gland Pharma Ltd.(up 2.74 per cent), Lupin Ltd.(up 2.54 per cent), Zydus Lifesciences Ltd.(up 2.19 per cent) and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 1.93 per cent) were among the top gainers.J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 1.3 per cent), Mankind Pharma Ltd.(down 1.06 per cent) and Divi’s Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.65 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was up 1.05 per cent at 21766.45 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 88.55 points at 24945.85, while the BSE Sensex was up 254.65 points at 81710.05.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 37 were trading in the green, while 13 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, GAIL and IFCI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Fiberweb India, Torrent Power, Suven Pharma, Country Condos and DIC India Ltd hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Ravindra Energy, Focus Lighting, SecUR Credentials, Equitas Small Fin and Gujarat Lease hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
