Deft Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to join us as Purchase Head for our Chemical & API Manufacturing Unit at Malanpur, Madhya Pradesh.
🏭 Department: Procurement / Supply Chain
🎓 Qualification: B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry, B. Pharma / M. Pharma, or MBA in Supply Chain Management
💼 Experience: Minimum 10 to 15 years in Procurement (with at least 5 years in Chemical/API industry)
🔑 Key Responsibilities:
1️⃣ Strategic Procurement
• Develop and implement procurement strategies for raw materials, chemicals, intermediates, and other key inputs.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers to ensure consistent quality and cost-efficiency.
• Secure long-term supply agreements to mitigate price and supply risks.
2️⃣ Vendor Development & Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.
• Conduct supplier audits, quality checks, and performance evaluations.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contractual conditions.
3️⃣ Cost Control & Budgeting
• Monitor and control procurement budgets.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining product quality and compliance.
• Track market trends and plan purchases accordingly.
4️⃣ Compliance & Quality
• Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance standards (FDA, GMP, etc.).
• Maintain documentation and traceability for all procurement activities.
5️⃣ Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination
• Collaborate with Production and Planning teams to forecast material requirements.
• Optimize inventory levels for efficiency and availability.
• Coordinate logistics for timely delivery and import/export processes.
6️⃣ MIS & Reporting
• Maintain procurement records and generate management reports.
• Analyze trends, risks, and opportunities in sourcing.
• Utilize ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) for procurement planning and execution.
