Job Title: Deputy General Manager – CapEx Procurement

Position Overview
The Deputy General Manager – CapEx Procurement at Biological E. Limited will play a crucial role in our procurement team, focusing on the strategic sourcing and procurement of capital expenditures (CapEx) to support our operational and growth objectives. This role involves managing a team of procurement professionals, developing and implementing procurement strategies, and ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services necessary for the company’s capital projects, specifically within the life sciences industry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning and Execution
– Develop and implement comprehensive CapEx procurement strategies aligned with Biological E. Limited’s business objectives.
2. Supplier Management
– Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers to meet CapEx requirements, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
3. Contract Management
– Oversee the development, negotiation, and management of contracts related to CapEx procurement.
Mitigate risks through effective contract management and ensure that all terms and conditions are clearly defined and adhered to.
4. Budget and Cost Control
– Manage the CapEx procurement budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial targets.
– Utilize life cycle cost analysis to evaluate total cost of ownership and make informed procurement decisions.

– Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and transparency.

– Implement robust risk management processes to safeguard the company’s interests and minimize exposure to risks.
Qualifications and Experience
– Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is highly desirable.
– Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a senior or managerial role focused on CapEx procurement..
– Experience in procuring specialized equipment and services for biopharmaceutical manufacturing, including reactors, fermenters, filtration systems, and cleanroom facilities.
– Familiarity with industry-specific suppliers and service providers, and the ability to establish and maintain relationships with these key partners.
– Understanding of the technical specifications and validation requirements for life sciences equipment and services.
